Live Sound Engineer

I can help you take your music to a professional level and make it sound sonically superior

I am an experienced and highly able studio and live audio engineer, hailing originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, but now living in the balmy tropical climate of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, which is known for being the most remote city in Australia and for its great beer.

I have a good knowledge of music, musicality, audio software, audio processes and systems, but not only that, I am also a great communicator, who understands how to get the best from the people I work with. I'm also a guitar player and singer-songwriter in my own right.

As a school boy, I had the chance to work in a professional studio (The Mill Recording Studio) for a week with my school's work experience programme. After this experience I was hooked on the manipulation of audio and how computers could affect audio; I am a sponge for technology.

I started out my engineering career using a Tascam tape recorder in my school music room and submitted my guitar performance to my teacher. She called me into class one day and asked me “How did you do this?”, I showed her and suddenly I was recording the entire class' projects the next day. That’s when I knew what I wanted to do.

Over the years, I've worked in several professional studios, and live environments as an engineer, but am equally able to achieve good results in any situation—from garage to concert hall. I also have experience and a keen interest in all things Audio/Visual, Digital Communications and concert lighting. I might be described as an all-rounder, but I believe that makes anybody a better engineer.

I look forward to hearing from you, and working with you in the near future.
