I am able to mix from your full Pro Tools or Logic Pro X sessions, which is a great starting point for your project vision! Or alternatively you can send me the full
stems/tracks/audio files in 48khz
Sample rate & WAV format. I use only the best UAD, Waves and suites of 3rd-party plugins to get the sound YOU deserve!
I have been mixing in the studio and the live field for more than 15 years, this experience enables me to get you the sound you
deserve. I normally do 3 revisions of your mix for free, the rest are generally charged hourly.
I can record 24 channels of pristine quality analog to digital conversion into Pro Tools or Logic Pro X. I also have the award-winning UAD Apollo Twin Quad interface, which features the Unison emulated Pre Amp which means I can record a nice full
dynamic audio recording at 96Khz if required. This setup allows me to Record in any environment and keep things mobile if a client wishes to record in their own space. Editing wise I am a seasoned audio editor and can emulate or warp or clean almost any audio into a pristine file. And the
file can be delivered in almost any format you require, upon request.
I have been in and around live audio since my career began way back in 2002 and have worked with some notable artists. I am available to hire as a FOH or Monitor operator and also as a backline or Guitar technician when required. I have worked at major events and festivals across the UK, Europe and Australia. I have also been the assistant freight manager at Falls Festival Lorne for the last 4 years, so there's not much I haven't done inside the music industry!
I am a highly experienced studio/live audio engineer and have been in the industry for 15+ years. Hailing originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. But now living in the balmy tropical climate of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The NT is known for being the most remote city in Australia
and for its great beer and people.
I have a vast knowledge of music, musicality, audio software, audio processes and systems, but not only that, I am also a great communicator, who understands how to get the best from the people I work with. I am also a guitar player and singer-songwriter in my own right.
As a school boy, I had the chance to work in a professional studio (The Mill Recording Studio, with Niall Mathewson - Pallas) as part of my school's work experience programme. After this experience I was hooked on the manipulation of audio and how computers could affect audio; I am a sponge for technology. And to this day, I remain close friends with Niall, who's guidance and mentorship has been a big part of my career.
I started out my audio recording career using a Tascam tape machine at my school. In my lunch breaks I would spend my time in the music rooms either playing guitar or drums or recording on the tape machine. As part of my music lessons I had submitted my guitar performance to my teacher for my
exams. The very next day she called me over in class and asked me “How did you do this?”, I pointed at the tape machine and suddenly I was recording the entire class' projects the next day. That’s when I knew what I wanted to do, I had found my passion and my thing.
Over the years, I've worked in several professional studios, and live environments as an engineer, but am equally able to achieve good results in any situation—from garage to concert hall. I also have experience and a keen interest in all things Audio/Visual, Digital Communications and concert
lighting. I might be described as an all-rounder, but I believe that makes anybody a better engineer. I have also recently become Apple Pro Certified Trainer in Logic Pro X and now offer one-to-one lessons online or locally if you live in Darwin. Although I am willing to travel at a cost, send
me an email and let's make some music and have fun!
I look forward to hearing from you, and working with you in the near future. Cheers! Danny x
– James Dunlevie (part time bass player & ABC Journalist)He is quite simply put “the best in the business”.

– Michael Wynne (In The Mix)An experienced professional with both the equipment to capture great sounding recordings and the skills to take them to the final mix. Your projects will be in safe hands.
– Jaxon De Santis (At The Dakota/Naked Sailor)Danny is an excellent audio specialist, always does a top job when I've required his services for gigs and recording. Maximum rating from me 💯
– Cheyne Luke (Trade Strong)Danny is great to work with! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful and will go above and beyond to get the results you want. I approached him with help in Logic Pro X and it was well worth it! I’m getting so much more out of my DAW now and feel a lot more comfortable and confident with it!
– Matt Goodluck (Matt Goodluck Voiceover Artist/Experience Floyd)Not only is Danny a great guy but his audio knowledge is second to none! His knowledge and expertise have helped solve numerous tech issues I've had in the past working with Logic. But his skills extend way beyond this. If you need someone to mix your project (either in the studio or live), Danny is your man. I'd happily recommend him to add a professional sheen to any audio project.Danny is great to work with! – Ben Allen (Broadwing)Danny engineered a recording session in a third party studio for some singles I was producing for a Darwin band. He was organised, methodical and we got great sounds which ended up being played nationally on Triple J. But most importantly he was really easy to work with. Have recommended his services to other musicians since.
